Saturday's scheduled fight, which featured the return of Luis 'The Craftsman' Cruz (20-2, 16 KO's), was canceled on Friday prior to the official weigh-in. Cruz was going to face Steve Trumble (12-25, 8 KO's) as part of the card - 'Future Champions' - promoted by PR Best Boxing Promotions and Top Rank in Trujillo Alto, Puerto Rico.
BoxingScene.com/Sport Press has learned the fight was canceled due to a potential lawsuit from Miguel Cotto Promotions. In June 2011, Cruz, who is signed locally by Miguel Cotto Promotions, entered into a promotional contract with Top Rank.
