Sources close to the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that Rocky Juarez (29-10-1, 21KOs)never verbally agreed to face Sergio "Yeyo" Thompson (26-2, 24KOs) on May 18th at the Hotel Grand Oasis in Cancun, Mexico. The fight was going to be the co-feature to Shane Mosley vs. Pablo Cesar Cano.

We reported earlier that Juarez was not going to fight Thompson on card.

From what BoxingScene was told, Juarez was willing to face Thompson when the fight was being discussed as a Fox Deportes headliner on May 3rd in Las Vegas.

prepe Gomez is 1 cheap guy...he has a 3k arena w/2 or 3 forms of TV & this is what he offers....good boxers need 2 stay outta Cancun...I doubt Mosley won't get more than $50k...
