Andre Dirrell will return to the ring April 12 in a 10-round super middleweight fight against Ossie Duran.

The Dirrell-Diran fight will be broadcast as the main event of an ESPN2 “Friday Night Fights” broadcast. Vinny Scolpino, Duran’s adviser, said the site of the fight has not been determined.

The 29-year-old Dirrell (21-1, 14 KOs), of Flint, Mich., most recently fought Feb. 2, when he out-pointed Ghana’s Michael Ggenga (14-7, 14 KOs) by unanimous decision in a 10-rounder. The 35-year-old Duran (28-10-2, 11 KOs), also a native of Ghana, most recently out-pointed journeyman Joshua Snyder (9-8-1, 3 KOs) by unanimous decision in a six-rounder Oct. 13 in Newark, N.J.

I remember the days when Dirrell fought relevant fighters. Seems like a life time ago.

Hopefully this is the last tuneup. His prime years are wasting away.

Dirrell is in a tricky spot so I don't really have a problem with him coming back slow off his long lay off.

          Soft fight though.

Who is Dirrell with now? Mayweather Promotions?

Good to see the talented moron is back in the ring. Hopefully he stays active.

As long as I get a free Fiddy concert/ring entrance I'm okay.

now this is a tuuuune uuup. ossie duran's best damn weight was WW... the guy was a f#cking LW when he turned pro, ffs.

at least it's on ESPN. duran has never been stopped, and he has fought punchers.

dirrell is looking to get rounds with a no hoper, then probably turn the heat up and get him out of there. duran's last fight was at a community college, and his opponent was 9-6 and 1. duran got that UD 6, though....
