Comments Thread For: Gavin Rees: Sorry, But Broner Too Good For Ricky Burns!

Gavin Rees has sent a warning to his countryman, WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns. Based on what he experienced on Saturday night in Atlantic City, Rees is advising Burns (35-2, 10KOs) to stay clear of WBC champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs). After taking punishment and suffering two knockdowns, Rees was stopped in five rounds by Broner.

Burns, who faces IBF champion Miguel Vazquez in a unification bout on March 16th, is the man who Broner wants to fight next.

Burns style would play into brokers hands and the more reason why I hope Vasquez beats burns but I don't think Vasquez would get a decision in Scotland.

Broner turned Rees into a sissy boy.

Vazquez will beat Burns anyway though.

In terms of magnitude I'd like Burns-Broner, but Vazquez provides the much bigger challenge and we'll see how Broner handles a pure boxer.

Burns is tough, has decent speed power and size. one thing that burns has is fitness, he trains very, very hard. Rees is garbage, he should stfu.not sure why gbp like using brits to build up filler fights.

Yep the Broner-burns fight would be way bigger than the Broner-Vasquez fight you are right about that.

Burns is going to shock a lot of folk on here when he soundly beats Vasquez next month. Believe it.
