Things have got very interesting in the last couple days in negotiations between Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank over a possible Nonito Donaire-Abner Mares fight. Golden Boy made both a verbal and written offer of 3 million dollars to Top Rank for the services of Nonito Donaire for a fight to take place no later than June 30, 2013. Yup, who would've thought right? I'm glad Mares and GBP did this cause now Arum's forced to put on a real opponent with Nonito. Hopefully we'll get the winner of this with Mares late in the year.

Another thing is am glad Mares pointed out that Nonito isnt "scared" of him, because that word gets thrown around easily along with the word "Ducking" when in fact most boxers aren't really scared of each other.

You really don't know squat about the Boxing business. The PROMOTER is the one who choses the opponent, the site location, and other details....it is in the contract. Once again, who the hell do you think puts up the money and takes the financial risk??? Get a damn clue!
