Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: I've Lost All Respect For Froch, Kessler

With Kelly Pavlik announcing his retirement from boxing, current WBC Super Middleweight champion Andre Ward will be in need of a new opponent once he recovers and returns to the ring from a shoulder injury. A possible fight for Ward could be against the winner of the Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler fight which is slated to take place in the coming months.

Ward holds wins over both men as he defeated them during Showtime’s Super Six Tournament which pitted the best Super Middleweights against each other. Both Froch and Kessler have gone on to become champions once again and have been mentioning Ward quite a bit.

Love Ward, but what does he expect? They're opponents, they're not supposed to pick him flowers and write him sonnets.

Well, you had the chance to rematch Kessler and you turned it down, Andre.

Stop running your mouth. Froch-Kessler > any Ward fight.

I don't want to see Ward - Kessler or Ward - Froch again. He's a league above both guys, he schooled Kessler 3 years ago, since then Ward has got miles better and Kessler since his injury has got worse.

Froch just doesn't have the boxing brain to beat Ward, he doesn't even have a punchers chance IMO. Should Froch beat Kessler he should have one more fight in Nottingham and call it quits, great career, exceeded expectations and can retire a happy man at the top. He shouldn't go on too long, one day that chin of his will crack, the way he fights he's taylor made to get brutally KO'd once he starts to detiriote.

Ward needs to travel. Period. The Kessler win was disgraceful with the clinching and headbutting. In any other part of the world it would have been close to a DQ. Go to Denmark and prove you can knock him out.

And nobody respects you Ward. Not after rejecting a catchweight vs Dawson and then talking about moving up. At least Froch and Kessler travel to fight.

You wouldn't give Froch a punchers chance against Ward? Wow. Who do you this guy is? Superman?
