The WBC recently ordered their junior welterweight champion, Danny Garcia (25-0, 16KOs), to face the interim-champion Lucas Matthysse (32-2, 30KOs) before the end of the year. Matthysse appeared on this week's edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene's official audio show and said that is the fight that he has been targeting.

"That is the fight I want. It is a fight I have been asking for, for a long time. Hopefully the promoters can get together and make it happen," Matthysse said.

Danny fights Zab next month if he wins Khan has said he would like too fight him in November/December that leaves atleast 9 months too make it happen plus WBC have ordered this fight whatever that is worth so i think it will happen i dont think Garcia will duck Lucas.As for Lucas he should just concentrate on next weekend Dallas is decent so he should just get that out off the way first

If Khan has no rematch clause like Morales there's no need to rematch Khan before fighting Lucas. As a matter of fact, rematches can wait. Mandatory comes first.
