Comments Thread For: Happy Screw Year: Usmanee Gets Jobbed in Miami

30-year old Afghan Arash Usmanee (20-1, 10 KO) of Montreal, Quebec, Canada did more than enough to take the undefeated mark and sanctioning body rating of 26-year old Cuban Rances Barthelemy (18-0, 11 KO) of Miami, Florida, on Friday night at the Magic City Casino in Miami, Florida. The judges decided otherwise, giving Barthelemy unanimous decision after twelve rounds and giving fight fans a reminder that while it may be a new year, it’s still the same old sport.

shame they denied usmanee the win tonight... we all saw usmanee as the victor, its a shame that later on down the road when looking at his record it will appear as a loss, an undeserved blemish. hopefully he doesnt get too discouraged and continues on. Hometown cooking at its finest.

Was so excited for the season opener of FNF and this just totally ruined it. Hopefully Usmanee gets a chance at redemption.

He beat the Cuban fair and square showed a lot of heart & determination It looked like he was out matched the first 3 rounds and would be knocked out but he fought back and won every round after the 3 rd

Terribe, shameful, inept judging by the 3 FL, so-called judges...didn't get their names but will find them & post later...who ever the new FL commish is,, it's a woman, she needs 2 take action vs these 3 terrible judges...ref Parker seemed a bit slow during a lot of the action & missed completely when Usmanee was butted & didn't even give a warning...bad night 4 FL...

It was a disgrace, Usmanee had Bart Simpson ready to go about 5 times. I had it 8 rounds to 4 or Usmanee but Bart knew beore they announced the decision that he was going to win, payoff at its finest.

Little man Big heart is the definition of Usanmee. I don't think boxing will ever progress with robberies like these esp on national tv.I had it 8-4 rounds for Usanmee. The Cuban simply got tired and wasn't throwing **** as he stayed mummed in fatigue for almost the whole half of the fight. Great respect to the challenger as he proved what it's like not to give up and attempt to sway a clear cut win IMO.The fights reminds me of Laras/Molina all over again.

I really can't blame others for not being boxing fans. It is hard.
