Martinez has the rights to call the shots since he beat him already. Martinez can move on if he wants to but giving Jr. a chance at revenge should be considered an OPPORTUNITY to Chavez. What's wrong with Martinez playing with Chavez's head a lil bit before the fight even happens? Give Jr. the shakes knowing he might not be able to puff before the rematch.

So are you saying that Jr gone push through the entire fight like the 12th? I doubt he will he is known as a slow starter; therefore Sergio will have a nice points lead again and Jr will have to swing for the fences and hope for a knock out...

I find it hard to believe he will go into the fight with the same get em late plan. He will come and try to make things happen early, instead of trying to pin him and then tag him he will have to punch with him. Either Chavez jr or Martinez is getting KO/TKO in the rematch. I will roll with Chavez jr to win.
a no nonsense trainer like garcia will be good for him

Althought I'm Not A Fan Of Sergio's, I have To Agree With Him!
I don't like Sergio's Boxing style, walking around the ring with his hands at his sides as though he's as fast as Ray Leonard was. He's not. I don't like that Sergio struggles with guys his size, yet he's always calling out the smaller guys for a pay day, rather than move up like the legends Leonard, Hearns did. That being said, had Chavez showed up not stoned on Marijuana, he probabl would have made a much easier night of it, and knocked out Sergio halfway thru the fight. The problem I have is, BE A PROFESSIONAL. BE RESPONSIBLE, ACCOUNTABLE when you're given a huge opportunity as Chavez was. Don't write that off and say you were young, you were immature. If that's your excuse, then learn from it the hard way. Chavez deserves NO rematch with Sergio, drug testing or not. He had his shot. He took it for granted, he thought the rules didn't apply to him. He knew what he was doing smoking weed prior to a fight. ******. For the amount of money, these guys get, that's the least you can do, is show up clean, show your gratefulness for the opportunity, and the sport. If it weren't for Boxing, Chavez would be hustling tourist up in Mexico for chump change to wash their car windows. I'd tired of these fighters given a chance of a lifetime, a lottery ticket payday, and they get ****** and blow it, then cry for a rematch, even resorting to name calling, and baiting a fighter out with a war of words, calling him "afraid". Grow up Chavez.
