David Price hopes the impasse between his camp and Tyson Fury's can be quickly resolved so the pair can fight next year.

Both Price, the British and Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion, and Fury earned wins at the weekend over Matt Skelton and Kevin Johnson respectively.

But the pair appear no closer to facing each other in the ring as Frank Maloney, who acts for Price, and Fury's promoter Mick Hennessy continue to clash over the terms of any deal.

However Price, 29, believes agreement can be reached and said: "It's going to happen - it's got to happen," he told Ringside.

Of course the whole of the UK want to see Price/Fury. However as I've said before, if it's to be a 50% split then fury needs to bring more to the table then a WBC #3 ranking & a big mouth. Price holds the British & Commonwealth belts that Fury relinquished rather then fight him & the contest deserves British, European & Commonwealth status, not some Micky Mouse Intercontinental/International/Interim title. I suggest Mick Hennessy approache's the EBU with a propersition for a Pulev/Fury contest in the Spring. While Price defends his belts against the winner of Towers/Browne. Price vs Fury could well be fight of the year & should happen @ a major UK arena this Summer!

Tyson Fury knows if he fights Price he will lose and be denied a title shot. Price knows if he fights Fury he will win and be granted a title shot.

I'am not getting my hopes up of fury v price happening soon.the only chance of this fight happening is If Tyson was offered More money then he would be set to receive against a klitschko brother and to be honest I think that would be more than $650k And let's face it fighting for a world title Does't happen every week and in some cases only comes once. For me personally Tyson is about 12 months in front of where price is right now and Tyson is the one who has more to lose if price beat him.So really to make it happen frank Malony and crew need to cough up more dough.great fight if it can happen let's hope anyway.
