The WBC is a strange sanctioning body. A credible sanctioning body should want its champion to be the best in a division. But look at what it is doing to Denver Cuello. Denver has fought every eliminator fight required of him by the WBC knocking out every boxer obstacle the WBC put to derail Cuello's becoming its champion. When Denver KO'd every boxer he was made to face, he was again asked to step aside for the Chinese boxer vs a Mexican to fight for the title with Sulaiman promising Denver to be the mandatory challenger to the winner. In the meantime, Denver won the 105-lb silver championship. But again, Denver has to be denied his "right" to finally fight for the WBC world title. Suddenly, we read that another boxer won the WBC silver title Denver though he was holding. As this report stated, the title was vacant.

The WBC Rudy Salud, the guy who drafter the WBC "constitution", envisioned to be is not the WBC now.
