How Do You Rank Duran/Hagler/Leonard/Hearns

It's very early here in New Zealand. I'm going to use that as my excuse.
It was good discussing with you, it's rare to have an NSB conversation that is at the least not a flame war. Cya then.Comment

What Tim said.....A former Super Bantamweight going the distance with Marvin Hagler in his 8th weight division, and managing to give him all he could handle and then some without even tasting the canvas in the process (Duran was the only man of Hagler's 12 title defenses that didn't end up doing so) was much more impressive than Davey Moore.
So were beating the piss out of a prime Ray Leonard and Iran Barkley.Comment

I thought he was talking about Duran's (impressive) victory over Davey Moore.
And no - Ray wasn't down against Hagler, but Duran did it first, which makes it more impressive, IMO. Especially given the fact that he was so small and in there with the #3 best Middleweight of all time. (Maybe 4, depending on whether you rank Monzon higher or not.)Comment

i was only correcting for appearances. i agree with your take about Duran. I rank Duran in my top ten of all-time. Leonard is outside of it.I thought he was talking about Duran's (impressive) victory over Davey Moore.

1. Duran
2. Leonard
3. Hearns
4. Hagler
Guys, I like Hagler more than Hearns but I don't see why Marvin is usually ranked above Tommy.
First guy to win titles at 4 weight classes, also the first to win 5, nearly beat Leonard, KO'd Duran, arguably best ever at 154, better longevity etcComment
