He did very well, and given the calibre of opponent it was a bigger boost to his legacy than many of his victories. When people discuss his merit years from now, his supporters will always be able to say that he gave Floyd Mayweather one of the very toughest fights of his career.

Pedro Diaz definitely deserves a lot of credit. He seems to have a real obsession with footwork, half the videos I see of Cotto's training these days features Diaz constantly pointing to his feet.

Cotto will beat Froid "I will clean up the sport of boxing" PEDweather any day if he (FROID) fights fair (No PEDs).

This will be a shocker I know everyone is thinking that Trout will give Cotto problems but I understand how Cotto's trainer works and his work is a work in progress. Cotto lost his passion for the sport after losing to Margarito and his father's death on top of it almost finishes his career. Now we have a new trainer that implemented a new system that is used by Cuban Olympic boxing team members and it does require some time to show the expected results. Cotto has evolved during the last three fights... you will be amazed tomorrow this time he will be at his peak.

You have to be the #1 Pac dyck rider on this site, and the sad thing about that is, you're proud of the fact you ride pack's jock like a horse racer.
How about that "loss" to Tim Bradley? It was a pure unadulterated robbery. Pacquaio whooped that ass in cruise control.

The work he's done with Pedro is nothing short of amazing, he was virtually transformed to use his abilities better..it's nice to see that him finally admitting he needed a change has worked out. He needs to stick to taking fights with guys of similar hand speed, he's not as fast as he used to be by no stretch of the imagination but there are plenty of fighters he can beat for a few more years. Would not want to see him fight Pacquaio again and I don't want to see another Mayweather fight. If Sergio Martinez wanted a nice payday he could come down to 154 and fight Cotto, perhaps in the process lure in Mayweather to fight him at the same weight afterwards but the schedule and their ages probably won't make it possible.
