Comments Thread For: Johnson: I'm Coming To England To Kick Groves' Butt

Former world champion Glen Johnson is confident he will be a class above George Groves in next month's Commonwealth title super-middleweight showdown.

Johnson, a former IBF light-heavyweight champion, has a 70-fight record, including big-name bouts against Roy Jones Jnr, Antonio Tarver, Chad Dawson, Bernard Hopkins and Carl Froch.

Groves has just 15 bouts to his name and the battled-hardened Jamaican plans to make his experience count in a convincing win at the ExCeL London on 15 December.

This is a brave fight for Groves. Any fighter, even in their prime, would have a hard night's work against Glen Johnson.

The guy retired live on TV after his last defeat, I can't see him putting up much resistance as I think he's just fighting for money now and knows his career is done. Still, I dont think he will be a walk over, but unless Groves loses his head, which is very possible, then he should cruise through with a few rough patches

I've got Johnson winning....by KO. Groves doesn't seem too special to me-even a shot Johnson should be able to hurt him...

I think Groves will be too busy for Johnson, Groves is young, hungry, fit, on the up, Johnson, fit maybe but enough stamina to go at it for 12 rounds with someone like Groves, I dont think so, good test for Groves though but I think he coasts to a points win.

Johnson is one of the great people in the sport. I wish he would retire before he gets hurt.

I would not be surprised if Johnson gave Groves some trouble.

                    Johnson is done
love him for his heart and all, but come on
there's a time even journeyman need to give it up
not like Groves will give him a beating, but Johnson will lose here
he showed in his last fight he doesn't have anything left
expecting a dull affair in this one, Groves by lackluster UD
