Comments Thread For: Roman Gonzalez Back in March With an Eye on Viloria

Undefeated WBA junior flyweight champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (34-0, 28 KOs). Last weekend he won a tough twelve round decision over previously unbeaten Juan Francisco Estrada (22-2, 18 KOs). On the same card, Brian Viloria knocked out Tyson Marquez to unify the WBO/WBA flyweight belts. According to one of Gonzalez's attorneys, Silvio Conrado Jr., Chocolatito will return on a date in March - possibly paired in a doubleheader with Viloria to promote a 2013 clash bewteen the two boxers.

WTF a double header just make the fight happen between these two guys already. Stop with all the marinating already. We don't want to start 2013 with top guys fighting tuneups.

I had a conversation with Viloria's manager earlier today and he said he had never heard of plans for a March doubleheader.

It will be a clear win for Viloria. Gonzalez is one-dementional and Viloria's movement and skillset will be too much for him to solve, not to mention the HUGE difference in level of competition and experience.

What are the winning lottery numbers? It will be a competitive fight and not a blowout.

Brian should defend 1st against Milan and Roman should get the belt fr Igarashi. Then they fight for the Undisputed Title.. oops just left out Mthalane! Moruti should inject his name in the mix or everybody will forget there's a champ from South Africa
