Comments Thread For: Team Molina Bringing Out a Stretcher For Amir Khan

Frank Espinoza, the manager of undefeated Carlos Molina, was surprised to read a recent interview on BoxingScene.com, where former champion Amir Khan (26-3, 18KOs) was discussing a potential fight with Kell Brook in 2013. Molina (17-0-1, 7KOs) takes a major step by fighting Khan on December 15 at the LA Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Molina is a heavy underdog in the Showtime televised main event, but Espinoza is confident that his boxer will hand Khan his third consecutive loss. Khan admits that a third consecutive defeat would make him consider the possibility retirement. The British superstar views this contest as a "must-win" situation for his career.

This really isn't necessary, specially if it's out of character for him. Plus it could backfire, this is a big step in competition for him.

Khan wouldn't take a dangerous fight right after Garcia KO'd him
Molina might put up a fight but he'll lose
Khan should look good in this fight
the guy is moving up in weight and class, doubt he does much here

The odds of a Molina KO will probably be 50:1 across all rounds!

Imagine if Molina tripped whilst throwing a right hand putting all his force into that one punch sending khan flying out the ring.

This. I think bringing out a stretcher and then KO'ing your opponent (while being a big underdog) is almost on par with "You got any excuses tonight, Roy?" Khan would become a complete laughing stock.
