Peter Nightingale, a retired British boxer who once captured a regional title belt, has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being found guilty of killing another man in a social club in February, according to the Birmingham Mail.
The 42-year-old victim “died of severe head injuries,” the newspaper reported. Nightingale had been facing a murder charge but instead was convicted of manslaughter.
