Comments Thread For: Odlanier Solis Hires Penagaricano, Looks To Dump Oner

Olympic gold medal winner Odlanier Solis (18-1, 12KOs) has hired veteran legal adviser Gaby Peñagarícano, who represents Miguel Cotto, Timothy Bradley, Eddie Gomez, Jonathan Gonzalez and several other boxers.

Solis was scheduled to fight former two-division champion Tomasz Adamek in an IBF eliminator on December 22nd, but the fight fell apart due to promotional issues with Ahmet Oner of Arena Box.

It looks like Cotto gave Odlanier Solis some advice during their recent training camps together. Hopefully Solis can get away from Oner.

Pretty soon, Oner is going to need a new wave of Cuban defectors to take advantage of....

He gets paid and his motivation to stay in shape evaporated. He needs to lose 50 pounds and start fighting regularly again.

It was Oner not Solis that backed out of the fights with Larsen and Adamek.

Solis is wise to finally break free of him.

Solis has not been fit since his amateur days. He is very gifted but he lacks heart and a proper training regime. I lost everything for him after his fight with Ray Austin.
