El Paso County Coliseum, El Paso, Texas - Welterweight contender Brad Solomon (19-0, 7KOs) was dropped twice in the first round and the fight appeared to be on the verge of being stopped, but he survived, regrouped and fought a war with hard-puncher Yoryi Estrella (10-9-2, 7KOs) to win an eight round majority decision. Solomon should have stayed retired wonder if TR will give him up to Vargas or keep him in meaningless bouts til his contract is up.

Korobov should of stopped this guy but he's been inactive too so at least he got some rounds

Solomon is a very good fighter, but he's also been inactive. It's strange though, it seems like these kinds of scares that happen to prospects always happen against lower level opposition. Like Ward being dropped and hurt by Boone, yet later in his career taking flush shots from Kessler, Abraham and Froch and not being the least bit fazed. Solomon seemed to fight down to his level of opposition, I don't see any other reason for this happening given the fact he's easily dominated decent fighters like Demetrius Hopkins and Adjaho. So I'd more or less chalk this up to being a bit of a fluke, but he needs to stay active.
