    Comments Thread For: Viloria vs. Marquez Winner Has To Face Milan Melindo

    The winner of the upcoming unification between WBA flyweight champion Hernan “Tyson” Marquez (34-2, 25KOs), and WBO flyweight champion Brian “Hawaiian Punch” Viloria (31-3, 18KOs), will have to face Filipino Milan Melindo (28-0, 11KOs) next.

    Melindo is the mandatory challenger to Viloria's title, and the World Boxing Organization has ordered the winner to fight him. Viloria and Marquez will fight on November 17th at the Los Angeles Sports Arena in California.

      wow, really now? who has melindo fought to earn the right to fight a unified(?) champ? i dont think he's got the pedigree for that. fast tracking to the top it looks to me.

          oh i see. should viloria win, and i hope he does, he can drop that wbo thing and still keep the other. but in any case could be interesting to see two pinoy pugs going at it in the international scene. that said, I still think melindo too green to be fighting at that level.

            If viloria wins I hope he decides to do it and ****s up melindo. Ever since his tainted loss to omar nino the filipinos have pretty much disowned him to jump on donaire's junk anyway.
