Make it happen. With Froch-Bute II slated for around April, you can make Ward vs. the winner of Froch-Bute II right after. This is the best scenario given the current situation.
Kelly Pavlik vs. Carl Froch > Andre Ward vs. Kelly Pavlik

    ...

Too bad... Still, it is an interesting enough matchup.

Fighting to not lose = fighting to win. Trying too hard can be costly.

I'd like to see Ward fight Froch again but I don't think Froch is too keen...

man, ward might have the most pull of anyone in boxing. people that say "boxers dont pick their opponents" never saw or heard of ward. I'm not bashin him as ward is an amazing boxer but every time iv'e ever heard ward say someones name, it's the very next fight. Ward vs pavlik isn't as bad of a fight as many think it is. ward has very limited options and for an activity fight, the ghost is almost perfect. Ward has a former champ and a good showman with pavlik aswell as makin a decent payday for a fairly safe fight. ward a smart man, but love how he just wants to keep fighting and improving.

Ward slices and dices Kelly up.

I see it as a near repeat of what happened to Kelly in the last few rounds of the Sergio fight, except for all 12 rounds with Ward.

Easy fight for Ward. Pavlik has always been trash.

First time I ever saw Pavlik fight, I thought, damn, he is slow as hell. Slower than Froch.

I lean to agree with you TBH, but Ward has already handily defeated Froch, who we already know is superior to Bute. I'd rather see Pavlik verses either of those two, instead of Pavlik being ruined by Ward. The man who had the best chance of beating Ward was Cobra and he fell short.

Martinez does not need to fight above 160 pounds. He is a small middleweight. Ward is too damn big for Martinez.

This is a easy fight with a marketable name for Ward. He earned a light touch after the fights he's had. Not a good move for Pavlik if he wants to get back to the top, too early in the comeback for him to fight Ward. Pavlik should try to fight Chavez Jr. IMO.
