Comments Thread For: Ricky Burns, Groves, Conquest, Sanders Back on Dec. 15

Promoter Frank Warren today announced a multi-title extravaganza featuring some of boxing’s biggest stars at the ExCeL London on Saturday 15th December.

Ricky Burns, George Groves, Billy Joe Saunders and Tony Conquest will defend their titles on the big end of year event in the capital, live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/****** Ch. 546), with even more title fights to be added.

Scottish star Burns, fresh from the most spectacular win of his career last month over rival Kevin Mitchell, will headline the show with the third defence of his WBO World Lightweight title against a top-ten challenger to be announced.

To be honest, the best fights on there after Broner, is either Thompson or Rees.

I'd have no problem with a Rees fight. Wouldn't mean too much on the world scene but those of us that follow the sport know that Rees is a very good test.

This is a cracking bill though & I hope he gets decent opponents for the lot of them.

sounds like a good card. Rees fight would be difficult to make as im sure he's with matchroom. however at least he's keeping active, cant knock him.

Time Boxnation completed a deal with a US network to show these cards.
