Comments Thread For: Commission: Reiss Was Right To Stop DeMarco vs. Molina

There has been some debate over Antonio DeMarco's 44-second stoppage of John Molina, which took place last Saturday night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Molina was rocked in the opening seconds by a big left hand, and then DeMarco trapped him in the corner and started firing combinations. Molina bent down, with his butt actually touching the rope. He protecting himself but not firing back. It didn't take long before the fight was stopped. [Click Here To Read More]

Rule 351: take a knee and get the 8 count.

all in all, its the fighters fault at the end. TAke responsiblity for crying out loud for your own actions

molina (the fighter) hasn't really complained about the stoppage. after the stoppage molina didn't complain at all & just looked like he was relieved it was all over..........

it's the fans who are in a uproar for molina. it's the fans that are saying molina was A ok & the ref was at fault..............it's a joke & embarrassing to the sport. these fighters aren't thrown away meat..............

Ain't that the truth. Molina, in his defense, has been a good sport thus far in the post fight. Hope he learns from this mistake and can come back.

Bunch of BS.....no matter what we (the fans) say or word our opinion....the commision is gonna side with the Jack Riess, they're not about to make him look bad....what's done is done and from what I see nothing is gonna change the outcome of DeMarco/Molina fight. I waited so long to watch this fight, looked forward to some real toe to toe action packed fight, but nooooooooo....here's comes Jack to EFF IT ALL UP !! Thanks Jack.

I agree, the stoppage was way too quick. But Molina should have taken a knee as well.
