If one were to omit Williams and Pavlik from Martinez' resume, he would be a club fighter. Are you serious?
Originally posted by -Johannes- View PostHe's not by any means a 168 pounder, at his stage he wants the big money fights don't you think any one at his age would not target Pacquiao or Floyd?
Go figure.

I have no idea why you are obsessed with Martinez resume before he was given a chance, who do you want him to fight at 160 when the other champions didn't want to fight him.
Originally posted by -Johannes- View PostSturm would not think about it, Chavez had to grow, Pirog's side made all sort of excuses. Golovkin would be nice now, but he wasn't very relevant before and people like you would have said it was a shit fight.

That's pretty much all I'm saying.

The first negotiations Manny refused the 24 day cutoff and the USADA random testing.
Then throughout the years he nitpicked every demand despite asking for $10 million for every pound over 147 that Floyd might come in at.
In 2011, Manny said that he would take all tests but would submit to USADA.
He then said "Anywhere, anytime."
But then Manny wouldn't take the fight Vegas.
Then he said that he got a cut above his eye in November that wouldn't heal by May of the following year and that was the reason that he couldn't fight Floyd on May 5th.
Floyd offered Pacquiao $40 million guaranteed .. that's 6 or 7 times what Manny has ever taken home. Pacquiao refused. There is more than one way to turn down a fight. Overpricing one's self is one of those ways.
Floyd is P4P#1, #1 at WW and #1 at jrMW after dominating Cotto.
Pacquaio isn't in the top 5 P4P anymore, and shouldn't have been after fighting JMM the last time. He lost that fight in most eyes, and has officially lost to Bradley.
Yet he still asks for more than he brings to the table.
That's why the fight hasn't happened. Floyd made tens of millions fighting Cotto. In fact, Floyd made so much in his last two fights that he's the highest paid athlete in the world in any sport.
Pacquiao missed out. He turned down $40 million just so he could lose fans, endorsements, rank and more money than he'll ever make any place else.
If the fight happens now, no one will care because Bradley beat Pacquiao. Even Pacfans are making excuses now as to why Manny will or might lose.
The buzz is there, but no where near where it was before.

Not according to the judges he didn't.
And what makes it so bad is that Bradley isn't even a WW, but you're bragging about Manny supposedly beating him at WW.
That's sad.
