Seriously, guys that post on here where there simple goal in life is to trash Floyd's career, there's no need to take them seriously. This guy also said jabs don't count and that Pacquiao was a more accurate puncher than Floyd, enough said. This guy is a clown, simple as that.

The funny part of Floyd started as low or lower than any of these guys in weight, except for Marquez. Oh and Floyd dominated Marquez at a weight he arguably just beat Pac at. So let's see if Pac can finally beat Marquez handily.

Miguel Cotto started his career at 140lbs fought Floyd at 154lbs

Victor Ortiz, another 140lbs guy, only had one previous fight at 147lbs then fought Floyd at that weight.

Shane Mosley, a former lightweight fought Floyd at 147lbs at the tender age of 38

Juan Manual Marquez, started of at featherweight 126lbs, moved up 3 weights in a year to take on Floyd at welterweight, was meant to be catch weight of 144lbs but Floyd went back on his word.

Ricky Hatton, a natural 140lbs man, struggled with his previous fight at 147lbs once again Floyd fought him at 147lbs

Oscar De La Hoya, started his career at lightweight, went down to win a title at superfeather, Floyd fought at 154lb

Judah 140lbs guy, fought at 147lbs

      Gatti a 130lbs guy fought at 140lbs

Floyd has moved up the weights himself but tends to avoid the big men of the division he is in.

Never fought a Williams, Margarito, Martinez.

It seems that for Floyd size does matter.

I so sure of this I expect Floyd to fight another blown up fighter, maybe Alexander or Guerrero but will not fight a natural big guy in his next fight, or in any of his remaining fights.
The only ones I have a problem with is JMM, And I do place the asterisk next to the Hatton win. But as far as Ortiz, he walks around at 164, and was fighting at 140. Thats the reason he had that glass jaw, the kid was a big beast, and killing himself to make weight. I actually think thats Floyd's most impressive win at ww. That was a big azz, heavy, prime, southpaw. And Im cool with the cotto too. Cotto wasnt ready to fight Floyd back in the day, but at this point in time, he is best at 54 so I actually give him extra props for fighting him where he was comfortable. Pac and Floyd both can ONLY make up to 150, so I dont see why Pac cant fight him at 154 as well. He would come in at 150 just like Floyd did.

Hatton, like Cotto, wasn't ready to fight Floyd in 2005 at 140. So that was Hatton's fault that it happened at 147. I hated the Marquez fight and didn't give Floyd any credit for it, until Marquez arguably beat Pac at the same weight.

I really thought Floyd would fight Williams in 2007 after he beat Oscar but instead he made Hatton come up to Welterweight.

Dude you obviously weren't watching boxing back then and neither was your uncle.

I feel the same but still don't give Floyd much credit as he didn't even try to make weight. However it wouldn't have made the slightest difference as Floyd without a doubt won every single round due to skills and it wasn't even close.

Where as Pac, like in 2008, looked like a clown. The problem was Pac thought he had all the advantages at WW and underestimated the 39 year old LW due to the fact that Floyd beat him so easily years prior. The odds where supposed to be stacked in Pac's favor. He was wrong. The odds where supposed to be stacked in his favor vs the JWW with no power. He was wrong. Now Bob is desperately looking for that look good fight where Pac would again have all the advantages.

Size is not everything in boxing, but Mayweather factors it in when picking his opponents.
when did the williams fight have a chance taking place?

Floyd 72" reach ; Cotto 67; Ortiz 70; Marquez 67; Mosely 71;Baldimre 68; Corrales 70: Give Floyd credit for Oscar with a 73" reach but then Oscar had been out of the ring for a year. Floyd didn't avoid Margo and Williams because of weight. It was their height/reach and volume punching styles that had Floyd worried It's boxing not wrestling! If weight alone could win fights Butterbean would be the heavyweight champ.

Williams didn't get a significant win until Summer 2007 and than lost to Carlos Quintana in early 2008. Floyd fought Hatton in Dec 2007, someone people were saying he was avoiding, and someone that was Top 10 P4P.
