    I'll give it a go.

    Andre Berto
Antonio Margarito (By the time he was 18)
Joshua Clottey (By the time he was 18)
    Paul Williams

Think a prime Marg and Williams would have caused him problems.

The Clottey fight would have made Mayweather vs Baldomir look like Hagler vs Hearns.

I really thought Floyd would fight Williams in 2007 after he beat Oscar but instead he made Hatton come up to Welterweight.
He had already fought there. Think about. Floyd had just came back from 154 he might have only weighed in at 150 he still put on muscle for that fight and had been growing into welter weight since 05 so him having to drain back 10 pounds vs hatton comming up 7 who's cuts down from 160 his a whole lot different if hatton had drained him would you call hatton out for it?

Everyone wanted that fight including hatton.

They almost the same size. He's just shorter.

Hope Dawson beats the homeboy. He probably get robbed by the judges and Ward will be allowed free range of headbuts with the ref calling them all accidental.

I almost hope Floyd's next fight is against Berto just so I can read this guys post calling it a **** fight and talking about how scared of Pacquiao Floyd is. Lol

Hatton may have had a belt at 147 but he had no business at that weight, physically his peak was 140.
No doubt. However Floyd is no JMW or even WW. He was at his best at 130-140 and had no business moving up either but he did. He dominated 2 out of the top 3 WW's right off the bat when he did move up and did it without any catchweights.

People (noobs) only cry about it now because of a couple top rank fighters that Floyd didn't fight. Outside of the top rank clowns, Floyd dominated the division. So of course he was going to end up fighting someone that had moved up from a smaller weight classes like Hatton. Nearly every fighter moves up, sometimes well beyond their best fighting weight. Some find it out the hard way while others keep on winning. That is what boxing is all about.

Berto was never relevant and Mayweather fought his conqueror, Ortiz. Clottey is even less relevant than Berto. Williams was up at LMW.

Margarito fight should've happened but I guess he chose Hatton over him.

I agree Berto should not have happened, the Clottey fight should not have happened for boxing's sake.

The Williams fight and the Margarito fight both had chance of happening, they were both title holders whilst Mayweather was at welter.

Size is not everything in boxing, but Mayweather factors it in when picking his opponents.
