  • Comments Thread For: Shaw: Geale Won't Run From Golovkin or Anyone Else

Gary Shaw, promoter for IBF/WBA middleweight champion Daniel Geale (28-1, 15KOs), told BoxingScene.com that his fighter will not run from a potential showdown with hard-puncher Gennady Golovkin (23-0, 20KOs).

Good for Geale. Unlike Sturm, who would have never, ever fought Golovkin, Martinez, or Pirog, Geale seems like a legit champion willing to fight the big boys

what's all that hype about golovkin ? who did he fight so far , who knows proksa in the US ? why golovkin didn't fight abraham while wasting his time in germany ? golovkin - proksa , dzindziruk - gonzalez on HBO ? who's foolin' who ? semi-main even didn't bother to make weight

Perhaps a blessing in disguise for Sturm as he was running clearly away from Golovkin meaning Geale will lost likely be matched up with him.

I would rather see the winner of Chavez-Martinez be matched with Geale to settle middleweight matters.

Golovkin has true mw power. We will find out soon how GG does against a top boxer/puncher.

I like Geale, as he seems like a genuine fighter who just wants to get it on and not worried about opponents. He just wants to fight the best.....I was very very surprised that he risked it to fight Sturm in his backyard, but full credit to him.

Therefore, win or lose, good luck to Geale in his next fight against another MW Champion!

            Respect to Geale!

Geale vs Golovkin is a natural & Geale deserves for it to take place in Australia. As for Sturm, it looks like a challenge to Arthur Abraham @ 168LB is on the cards.

Australia is second only to Germany in terms of Shadyness and stitch up jobs.

The fight should happen in USA, neutral soil.
