HBO should have done a 24/7 for Rios/Alvarado instead of Ward/Dawson

Nahh. Neither of these guys will be stars. Ward is the star HBO is going for. He's their next Hopkins. Alvarado and Rios are cool but they aren't elite and they aren't stars in the making

Neither could Ward and Gatti but look @ what they did in movies/tv ratings generating money. Exciting fights generate $$$$ and thats all promoters give a *** about.

If they put that much money into Rios/Alvarado and then they end up being retired or consistently putting on bad performances (a la Rios-Abril) then that is money wasted.

With Ward/Dawson, investing money in making them famous is much safer.

Gatti was lightning in a bottle, Most journeymen aren't like that, neither of these guys have proved to be like him either.
