    Jhonny Gonzalez (52-7) has entered the final stage of his training camp for his upcoming Showtime televised fight against Daniel Ponce De Leon (43-4), taking place on September 15th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The all Mexican showdown serves as the co-feature bout to the Saul "Canelo" Alvarez versus Josesito Alvarez main event. On Tuesday's edition of The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene's official audio show, Gonzalez said that his on track to enter the fight in peak condition.

      Ponce de Leon might put this guy to sleep, so Jhonny better stay 100% focused on the task at hand and not even be talking about who he wants to fight next. This is gonna be a great fight - one that I can see either guy winning - but I'll be rooting for Ponce de Leon. I know, he's got a rough style and isn't exactly the most technically gifted fighter around, but his background, life story and fighting spirit make it hard to root against him.

          Agreed. All Ponce has to do is land one shot to change the fight!!!

              with Beristain in his corner Johnny is a whole diferent animal....call them the dinamic duo.
              Waaar johnny!!!!! I like them both, but I definetlyhave to go with Gonzalez by stopage in the 7 or 8th round.
