Teddy Atlas has had a front-row view of the complete collapse of USA Boxing.

The outspoken ESPN analyst/trainer, who called the Olympic action in London for NBC Sports, was so disgusted by America’s poor performance in men’s boxing that he sees only one alternative for the embattled, Colorado Springs-based amateur program.

“As far as my overall view on the Olympics, well, first of all, take a wrecking ball to USA Boxing,” Atlas said during ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights” telecast Friday night from Cabazon, Calif. “Demolish it. Get rid of the executive board, [that’s] a good place to start.

Atlas knows more about the sport and the history of this game, more that most will ever know! The amateur program is pathetic and embarrassing at best. Whatever happened to the Golden Gloves program?!!!!? Teddy should be congratulated for taking our program out behind the woodshed.

Maybe teddy should go back to training boxers because he is a terrible commentator. He explains the action going on as if it's a viewers very first time watching a boxing match. Teddy, only true boxing fans watch ESPN 2 boxing. I have stop listening to commentary instead blasting my music while watching the fights. Oh yeah great job with Michael grant.

The only problem with Teddy being the head trainer of the US Team is that there are no old washed up passed their prime amateur fighters for the team to fight.
