Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Battles His Way To Gold Medal Match

Britain's Anthony Joshua battled his way into the final of the Olympic super-heavyweight boxing tournament with a 13-11 win over giant Kazakh Ivan Dychko.

Joshua was giving away height, weight and reach to the 6ft 9in Dychko, but he always looked to be on top despite the scores only separating in the final three minutes.

The Finchley-based fighter appeared to land the crisper blows in the first and second rounds, but they were scored an identical 4-4 leaving the bout up for grabs in the final three minutes.

Joshua caught a blight, he got a lucky decisin against the great Savon's nephew in the 1st round. However, it benefits him more than Savon to win as he'll pour millions into the pro boxing economy whilst Savon Jr's left with patriotism and failure or defection back in Cuba which would taint his Uncle's legacy!

With respect, I don't see him pouring s**t for money into the pro boxing economy. A negligible amount maybe.

You make it sound like it's a terrible idea when in reality, it's obviously the best.

I'll throw this out there, if he wasn't British, the hate wouldn't be as strong. Nizaymbetov got a gift to get to the final, Usyk got a gift to get to the final, but everyone wants to talk about Anthony Joshua's 1st fight.
