Comments Thread For: David Price Back in October: Harrison, Skelton in Play

Liverpool's David Price is expected to announce the maiden defence of his British heavyweight title next week. The 29-year-old British and Commonwealth titlist has been pencilled in for an October outing at his home city's ECHO Arena venue, with former EBU champion Audley Harrison rumoured to be the name in the frame for what should be Price's first outing on BoxNation TV due to a link up between Frank Maloney, who promotes Price, and the subscription TV station.

Price hammered Sam Sexton to a fourth round defeat in May to pick up the belts, which were vacated by former holder Tyson Fury, who has since admitted that the fact they fight on rival TV networks has made it tough to ink a fight between Britain's biggest heavyweight hopes.

    i think price vs Harrison
    and

    chisora vs skelton

chisora needs some W's on his record now so should copy arreola and fight some tomato cans (with names).

seriously though think frank warren needs to give del boy experience and confidence with wins now

David Price is not fighting often enough for this stage in his career.

He's winning easily and early, so he needs to fight more often to get the rounds in.

Audley is a good opponent for Price. Skelton isn't.

With only 13 fights, i am not mad at David Price for selecting Harrison, even though i would like to see him fight better opponents. Would be a decent step up for Price and i wonder who would be considered the Favorite? My guess is that Price would be a 3/1 favorite, but since he has such little experience, you never know. The only problem i have is that if the fight would be held in October, that might be the last fight of the year for Price. David should try and fight every three months to stay active even if he gets blasted for fighting bums.

David Price needs to step up Audley washed up Harrison is not a test, he's just a big mop who always ends up on the floor

I want to see if Price is the real deal and fight someone with a tiny amount of skill

real shame they cant get him in a ring with tyson fury. Im surprised their not mentioning chisora though, or somebody a little more credible than fraudly. Price is decent, and would progress a lot better without padding his record with bums. Hes already had a great amateur career and gets top level sparring, he doesnt need 15-20 fights against tomato cans to learn the trade
