Comments Thread For: Adamek Does Not Plan on Facing Klitschko in 2012

Reacting to rumors in the American press, former two division champion Tomasz Adamek (46-2, 28 KOs) denied the possibility of a fight with unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (58-3, 51 KOs) on December 22nd. Adamek is looking to continue his winning ways after suffering a stoppage loss in last year's title fight with Vitali Klitschko. Adamek returns on September 8th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The reported opponent is former champion James Toney.

Let's see...no adamek. Arreola isn't interested for this year. Povetkin "isn't ready". Wlad doesn't want haye again. Looks like it's gonna be Chisora(if he wins), bum#3, or some up and comer who isn't ready.(think mitchell) Gee, how exciting...

Great plan. Just would make little change.

      Change "not 2012" to Never.

Adamek could have 10 fights with Wlad and he'd lose 11 times.

Don't understand Adamek's logic, none of the opponents he faces are anything close to Klitschko level, so what's the point? He wasn't good enough and never will be, all the training in the world can't change that.

Unless he counting on Vitali retiring and then fighting for that belt.

If James Toney is healthy this could be a interesting fight. "Lights Out" Toney landed some big fights within the last yr or so against Lebedev and now Adamek. Looks like JT is trying to get a title shot against a K brother. If he happens to get a W against Adamek, and that's a BIG IF, he may see a K brother in 2013.

That's what they are ALL doing. They see the light at the end of the tunnel when Vitali retires.

                  You're insane.

Toney is 43 years old, obese, totally shot, lost every second of every round to Lebedev, and owes the California State Gov't $350,000 in back taxes, which is the ONLY reason he is fighting.

Toney will NEVER get a Klitschko title shot, and has zero chance against Adamek unless Adamek breaks his leg during the fight.

Toney can barely speak now and is one big punch away from becoming a total vegetable.

Anybody who really likes Toney wouldn't want to see him take any more punches to the head.

Shame on Adamek and Main Events if they go through with this massacre.

Adamek's doctor gave him good advice.
