Comments Thread For: Kevin Mitchell, Warren See Doping as More of U.S. Issue

A number of high-profile positive tests in the United States, among them Amir Khan's conqueror last December Lamont Peterson, have led to fears that doping is widespread.

Much closer to home, British heavyweight Larry Olubamiwo admitted to using 13 banned substances and claimed a "large minority, if not majority, of boxers are doping". [Click Here To Read More]

No fighters from over here just tend to turn to this when there careers are over:

And not to mention Enzo failing one?

C'mon it's a problem in the sport throughout.

no mention of Dodson or Enzo Mac failing a test over here recently?

Maybe the drugs are just a bit better over the other side of the pond

I think Mitchell's comments are accurate in the main, it clearly is a bigger issue in the US as it's prevalent throughout all their sports however there is no room for complacency in the UK either, testing must improve across the board in boxing.

One thing I will say is that I hate the 'everybody's doing it' from those who get caught, that's the outlook that tempted them into it in first place.
