Former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (37-3, 30KOs) is considering the possibility of a move to 160-pounds on December 1. Cotto's return could take place in New York's Madison Square Garden or a venue in Las Vegas.

I don't really like Cotto at 160. He's pushing it at 154 as it is. But he'd beat Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam at the full division limit. If he wants to be the first Puerto Rican with 4 titles in 4 weight classes, go for it. Rather see him fight Canelo, but I don't think Canelo's people will have him fight Cotto with a Mayweather fight so close.

WBO handout n a catch weight might be involved. Top it off Cotto has only fought one top 10 154 pounder. Yet some of his fan base has the nerve to criticize Canelo on being a hypejob. Smh!

If he fights at a catchweight then he's not really winning a title at 160 pounds, is he?

With all the possible fights for Cotto at 154, why in the world would he go to 160?

Fight Canelo, Kirkland or Lara "THEN" go to 160. Come on man.

he doesn't want any of them,

maybe Kirkland since it would be a relativity easy fight and im sure deep down you would agree.

but yea there's so much talent @ 154 fighting someone @ 160 makes no sense

If he wants to end his career quickly he should go up to 160.

I think he'll get more respect for staying at 154 and fighting the best there. Fighting for a middleweight title at a catchweight will only mean that he should have ZERO excuses about the Pacquiao fight (weight draining) then. My opinion.

I think he can beat most of these top jr middleweights anyways. Besides, I dont think Golden Boy is ready to make the Cotto-Canelo clash. Canelo may want it but I dont think GP wants it yet.

That's a terrible idea! He was already considered a small JMW to begin with, and now he wants to move up to 160? Come on my dude...
