Wladimir's career at this point reminds me of Fight Night Champion Legacy mode when you are the top of the division way better then everyone else and you keep fighting the same guys

There were plenty of other fighters they could have ranked in their top 15 and included in the four fighter box-off, instead of recycling Thompson and Chambers. Rossy and Harris are not top 25 HWs and someone else should have been given the chance.

Wouldn't you prefer to see Wlad fight someone he's never fought before, intead of someone he's already KOed like Thompson?

Arreola doesn't want it now, Fury and Price are not ready. Helenius is injured.

Pulev or Boytsov would be good. If Chisora beats Haye, he'd be okay too.
I think Boystov should wait a few more years to make a title run.

Maybe it's time to reach out to see if Povetkin is ready to stop running? He's made some title defenses and some money. He's no longer with Teddy, so for the right money I think it could happen.

It will be just as, or even less competitve than the first fight, rendering it pointless. Surely a better opponent could have been secured, despite the divisions reluctance to face the Champion.

Whens the last time there was a Champion of a division who was being ducked? Tyson? There's gotta be someone else...

Povetkin's trainer Kostya Tszyu said in an interview on a Russian site that Povetkin will be ready to fight Wlad in six months (January 2013).

My source (a German boxing scribe who was in Thompson's camp) tells me that Tony blew off most of his boxing training and just hit the mitts with his fitness trainer. He says Thompson is deep in debt and is just doing this for a payday. We'll soon see if he is correct.

Is this fight being televised? I think Wlad wins by KO.
