Comments Thread For: James DeGale vs Mouhamed Ali Ndiaye Clash in Talks

London's James DeGale is currently in negotiations to defend his EBU super middleweight title against Mouhamed Ali "The Power" Ndiaye, according to the EBU. DeGale successfully defended his belt with a fourth-round stoppage of Cristian Sanavia in Denmark on April 21; the 26-year-old southpaw is 12-1 (9) and has regrouped well since May 2011's tight majority decision defeat to local rival George Groves. Nidaye, 32, defended his EBU-EU belt courtesy of a ninth-round corner retirement win over Jose Maria Guerrero on May 26; the Italy-based, Senegal-born boxer holds a 22-1 (13) record and will present "Chunky" with a stiff test.

Christ. This is a masterclass in second-guessing British media headlines. "JAMES DEGALE TO FIGHT MUHAMMAD ALI" etc. Maybe Groves can get that cancelled fight against JamesObede Toney on the same bill

This bloke is no better than DeGales last opponent. Both DeGale & Groves treading water at the moment.

chunky has been very quiet. still think he's all style no substance, if he gets in the ring with Abraham all the bravado will be unravelled, Paul Smith no offense but he is not a super middleweight and came in fat, all the talk of roast dinners he looked like he'd been on them for a month, unbeleivable. Chunky barely beat a Pole journeyman plodder. Seriously its just better if he keeps a low profile, its like the boy who cried wolf.
