Comments Thread For: Mike Jones Explains 8 Oz. Glove Choice For Bailey Fight

In a battle between boxer and puncher, it’s expected for both sides to negotiate every possible detail in their favor. If the two fighters are welterweight fighting in the state of Nevada, chances are the debate is going to be over the size of gloves used. The boxer will exploit the Nevada exception of a 10 oz. limit for all fights at welterweight and above, while the puncher will campaign for lighter gloves.

If Randall Bailey has anything left I think he can win this fight.

[Quote] neutralised this monster for 12 rounds [Quote] Sebastian Lujan a monster? Here we have Russell Peltz trying to make himself believe in his fighter Mike Jones but coming up well short of convincing. Jones might out-box Bailey but, even if he does, will then run into trouble he can't handle.

te gloves aren't the diff here, it's the age & diminished skill level of Bailey...a few yrs bk I'd take him, not now...

If Jones wins, I'd love to see Mike Jones vs. Kell Brook in the fall.

                  What happened to Gladiator???

And since Jones is on TR, and highly doubt we start seeing TR and GBP doing most fights together at 147, who else can he fight there aside from Manny???

Victor Ortiz, Devon Alexander, Robert Guerrero, Paulie Malignaggi, all GBP fighters. Kell Brook, who's in an IBF eliminator against Carson Jones, would make a ton of sense.
