Cotto wanted it, he said he could make it, just like Dawson.

Cotto did NOT want the catchweight he wanted it at the WW limit, the fight almost got called off and before Arum threw him more money,he said he did not want to put his belt on the line for the catchweight.

Not one source will ever say that Cotto wanted the fight at 145-when he wanted it at the limit of 147...I guess we need to ask why Manny wanted the catchweight though,because he fought Oscar at 147,but didn't have the nuts to extend the same courtesy to the belt holder in Cotto.

Cotto was the champion-why the hell should he chase Pac? If Pac wanted the belt,he should have fought him at Cotto's preferred weight...but Arum threw a little more money at Cotto (even though he said he didn't want to put his title on the line for a catchweight fight) so he could drain another few pounds to let his money maker Pac shine a bit more....

Then we got the fake JMW vacant title at a catchweight against Margarito-who didn't earn a spot for a title shot in the first place-nor did Manny....shifty business and poor politics just to fake history.

Now of course,Manny has moved on past catchweights (for now)-he is taking on guys who are 1-2 divisions below him!

The TS is jealous that Ward is fighting in his own weight class against LEGIT opponents-something Manny has rarely done lately.While Manny is getting involved in dull fights against old timers and getting schooled by a blown up LW, Ward has won the S6 tournament and topped the division.
