Vargas and Molsey Feel Made For Eachother

Saturday afternoon at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Golden Boy Productions & Main Events announced the February 25th “Showdown” between Fernando Vargas and Sugar Shane Mosley. The bout will be staged at the 154 pound limit.

Both fighters were very respectful towards each other with neither man saying anything negative. To announce the fight, Golden Boy president Oscar De Hoya opened by saying the fight was a natural for both fighters, and for all the rivalries in 147 to 154 pound era. Vargas beat Winky Wright, Wright beat Mosley twice, Mosley beat De La Hoya Twice and De La Hoya stopped Vargas. You get the idea.

This fight should be interesting, at 154 Vargas has the edge, Mosely dont have much pop at 154 anyway. Vargas still has power. Should be a great fight.

I think Vargas wins this by UD. Mosley has very little left from the looks of his last few fights - even the De La Hoya one - and so I feel that this is the end of the road for him. Vargas doesnt have much of a chin but he can fight, I'd like to see him win this then get the rematch with DLH

they probably have mosley's short ass standing on something in that pic..vargas and mosley were at the corrales castillo fight together and vargas is alot bigger then mosley

Should be interesting but they both seem to be at the tail end of their careers.

Mosley isn't as shot as some people make him out to be, I thought looked pretty good in his last outing at 147 but money talks and now he's back up at 154. It's a great oppurtunity for both fighters.
