I've seen one point taken for pushing, but not two. That's not to say that it hasn't happened before. Neither you nor I know anything about more than a tiny fraction of all the fights which happen. What Khan was doing was strong-arm stuff, like a rugby "hand-off". Blatant, and as aggressive as a punch.
I've seen 2 points taken for a single low blow, more than once.

Wow, the first time in the history of boxing has a man taken not one, but TWO points off for pushing! Pushing is a "minor" offense, remember that. It was totally unfair and rediculous to take two points off for such a little offense in a major title fight. Everybody who don't agree don't know ****.
Where are these minor offenses you talking about?Leave a comment:

he warned khan well over twice as many times. maybe he would have taken a point from peterson had he had to warn him half as much as he did khan.Leave a comment:

I thought the ref did a great job minus not actually stopping the action to give khan his fianl verb al warning for pushing off.
I know he "told" Khan not to do it one last time, but he should have stoppped action and gave it to him if only to cover his own ass. But I see the well intentions behind it that he didn't want to stop the action.Last edited by Biolink; 05-15-2012, 09:21 AM.Leave a comment:

kahn point deductions
1st off dont act dumb people, the ref took the 1st point cause khan was not just pushing,he was pushing to get lamont off balance and then he would throw a hard left hook. thats not just regular pushing that was a offensive tactic that is dirty. i like kahn but thats what he was doing. the 2nd point was for really the same thing he took it for holding his head but it was was cause kahn kept pushing peterson with his right hand making lamont come up on 1 foot then khan would hit him with a devastaing hook after it everytime go back and watch 2 see 4 yourself.Leave a comment:
