i hope so too....it's important to have the "torch" passed in some way, or at least have someone who goes in there and puts up a fight similar to Vitali/Lennox and is poised to carry that on for the next 10yrs like they have

Vitali should try to get a match with povetkin (which won't happen). If povetkin doesn't accept, retire. There is just no one left for Vitali to beat.

Actually - if Vitali went ahead and knocked Tarver out - I wouldn't mind. It wouldn't mean anything, but I'd like to see him get KO'd.

All in all, there is no one left to enhance Vitali's legacy. He's done all that he can possibly do. I hope he retires before he gets too old. Great career.

Haye is the only opponent out there for Vitali, but I don't think K2 want to give him the payday.

          2 more fights?

          1. Odlanier Solis (if he has a good showing this weekend)

          2. Winner of Haye/Chisora

As long as Solis is over 220 he's a waste of time.

Once the Klitschko's retire, true talent in the division will go extinct.

                    I agree with you here.

The brothers are the last of the 1990's era Heavyweights. They were up & coming fighters in possibly the deepest most talented HWD of all time(Tyson, Lennox, Hlyfield, Foreman, Bowe).

Being rooted in that era made them stronger and gives them an enormous advantage over the failed football players, and part time janiters that exist in the Heavyweight division today.

Wlad will defend his title against the second 40 year old challenger this year. Hes fought more 40 year olds than anyone in history. Amazing really.
