Comments Thread For: Kendall Holt vs. Josesito Lopez on June 22 in San Jacinto

Kendall Holt has lost the last two elimination matches that could’ve earned the former WBO junior welterweight champion another title shot.

He knows he can’t allow it to happen a third time June 22. Holt has signed a contract to fight Josesito Lopez that night in a 12-round fight for the No. 2 spot in the IBF’s junior welterweight rankings.

I thought Holt was pulling out to try and get in the Khan sweepstakes?

Good fight. I have to give the edge to Lopez because he has solid power and a good chin while Holt has good power and a bad chin.

Lopez stepping a bit out of his comfort zone with a 12 round fight. His only 12 round fight was stopped in the 1st round from a headclash. To me he's seemed content with only fighting 8-10 rounders against solid, sometimes untested opposition and looking good. He comes to fight though that's for sure.

Kendall Holt is a bit of an enigma for me. Looking terrible against Danny Garcia, then stopping Tim Coleman in his last fight (although I personally don't give him much credit for this fight, I think Tim Coleman was kind of found out and gave up).

Makes the fight very intriguing and hard to call.

It really depends on if Lopez can take Holt's best shot, if he can I expect him to just outwork and beat up Holt. If he can't well then Holt wins.

                Good intertesing fight though.
