That is the more obvious choice for both fighters and the biggest money fight for both guys. Canelo does have a shot to land a Floyd fight though.

IMO at this point Jr is simply to big and to heavy.
it's not like Kirkland deserves it anyway he got a gift in his last fight

I thought Martinez was fighting the winner of Lee-Chavez in September, and it was already signed. wtf?

Chavez & Martinez crush him. He better just aim for Canelo.

I definitely like a Cotto - Martinez match but only at 154. This is a good fight. I don't think Cotto will fight Chavez because I don't believe Cotto really wants to work with Arum anymore plus Cotto would be at a huge size disadvantage against Chavez. I know Golden Boy said Cotto could be a possible fight for Alvarez but I don't think they will really risk Canelo losing to Cotto. I think Cotto would have to lose one more time before they would feel comfortable with a Cotto - Canelo match up.

Cotto should promote his own show and fight somebody like K9 for K9's title. This wouldn't be a huge fight but it would give Cotto a shot at a title and guarantee to get back into the win column.

              cotto vs alvarez

cotto should not fight martinez...he will not win...fighting chavez helps arum get money and chavez will come n like a cruiser weight...the best fight iz alvarez....he can beat him and his stock will be at its greatest ever....and he'll get another title...plus he just fought mosley so its alot of story lines

I'm a huge Cotto fan, but I honestly can't see how he'll easily beat Canelo. it's a high risk fight for him. I'd love to see it because I like watching the Mexican Pride of Ireland and Miguel Cotto fight.

He wont fight Canelo next, a 75% percent chance that will be Martinez at 155 for the MW belts or his lineage or whatever!!! At it will be in NYC. Cotto wants that 4 division title.

Chavez is not a option because he is too big!! And Canelo is the next option, but they want Martinez better for that MW title!!

That's fine by me. I don't want to see Chavez-Cotto, because it gives Chavez an easy way out of the Sergio fight. And I doubt Cotto would fight Sergio.

I'd rather see Cotto just fight Bundrage for a title in the fall, and fight Canelo in the Spring, assumming he beats Kirkland. It'd be a big fight with two Top SWW's and a unification if Cotto grabs that IBF title this fall. Than, the winner of Cotto-Canelo has huge fights left after that as well.

Cotto vs Alvarez makes more sense than any other fight for Cotto.
Both ranked at 154, Mexico vs PR, will be exciting as hell...everything fits.

Kirkland fight is ******, he owes Carlos Molina a rematch desperately. Although I guess I wouldnt mind if it ended up being made lol, itd be fun to watch and pretty damn interesting. On second thought Id definitely be up for the fight, although Alvarez-Cotto is still better.
