I think he's definitely coming to win and I give him a good shot. However, if Canelo starts owning him then I think Mosley will see the writing on the wall and quit. I think he'll give up and then retire. Getting owned by Floyd & Pac is one thing but if Canelo starts owning him then he will say he's done and quit during the fight.

I think he's coming to win though because he's been totally counted out atleast 2 other times in his career only to revive it. He also think's Canelo is not half as good or experinced as Floyd & Pac so he thinks he can legitmatly win, e****ally when you look at Canelo's resume. The question is how long with that belief last

These dudes are so unrealistic. He's getting his biggest paydays while being clearly out of his prime. I would do the same thing.

Two, you guys forget that this is boxing and punches can cause serious damage. Swinging for the fences and brawling when you don't have the ability to do it effectively anymore can get you hurt (especially against upper echelon fighters).

I agree. Shane Mosley is a fierce competitor, enough that he was once pressured into using performance enhancing drugs to get an edge. He seems to have that sort of athletic personality that ensures he'll show up 100% to win on May 5th.

Like was said, though, like when he got nailed by Pacquiao and looked up with his, 'Oh my, the buffet is closed..?' bewildered expression, he went into survival mode and never attempted to win another round.

He'll do that with Canelo - if he starts getting slapped around, he'll find a way to survive, even if he means he stops throwing and trying to do ****.

So the real question is, can the young ginger get Old Man Mosley out before he goes into that survival programming?

Exactly. The fact is that Mosley has absolutely no pull in who he fights if he chooses to do so. He's clearly shot. Yet these great/amazing fighters have him on speed dial for a quick easy "W" on their resume. The last time Mosley was worth a damn was when he fought Floyd. He was proven shot that very night & double confirmation in the fight with Mora. Yet somehow he managed to get a call from team Pacman & now team Canelo. That's not his fault.

            Payday!

He kinda has to keep fighting because of that damn Divorce with his ex-wife I think

******* judges in California basically gave her EVERYTHING!

I hope he comes to fight though, because I think he may have one more big upset left in him and Canelo is really nothing "SPECIAL"

Mosley struggles with SKILL BOXERS, but in his PRIME, he would DESTROY a fighter with Canelo style, but now...I DON'T KNOW!

So the general consesus seems to be that Mosley will try in the early rounds but if he starts getting hit too much, he will mail it in and stop trying to win and just do everything he can to avoid being stopped. This fight will be pretty interesting early on, I think. Mosley might have a moment, but he's washed up and doesn't have the speed and stamina that he used to have. Plus his defence is terrible. People want to say "Alvarez doesn't have good defence, so Mosley will win" but the reality is that Mosley's defence is just as bad if not worse so it's not like he will be able to land 2-3 shots then get out and do it all over again. They will both be getting hit, but Canelo is younger, faster, possibly stronger and has a much more varied and measured attack so I think he will land a lot more. Canelo will be able to land on him and even if Mosley tries to do what he did in the Pacquiao fight, I don't think it will work. Canelo won't slow down and engage in a boring, tappy gloves, kissy-face sparring match with him like Manny Pacquiao did. He's coming to make a statement and I can see him stopping Shane. Not early in the fight but maybe late on because Mosley has shown very limited stamina recently.

I think he'll come to win this time around. The veteran will go to extra lengths to show the world that the newbie has to work his way up.

I think he will come into the fight with the mind set of winning, but I don't see him going to "extra lengths" to win it. I think Mosley is underestimating Canelo in this fight. He seems to think that he's basically just another Margarito and that's simply delusional. Mosley is going to have to work hard and dig deep to win this fight and considering how mentally weak he looked against Mora and Pacquiao I just don't see him doing that. He doesn't have that warrior spirit anymore. I think his main motivation and why he is fighting right now is the money and as long as he doesn't get stopped, I don't think he'll mind losing too much.

Mosley becomes more of a clown every time he steps into the ring.
