Five Toowoomba fighters from Smithy’s Gym are set to fight this weekend with the boxing team travelling to two different promotions in Brisbane in their first trips away for the year.
Jezze “El Rey” Carrasco will take to the ring in his second fight as a professional at North’s Leagues club in Brisbane. Coming off a draw in his debut in Toowoomba in March, Carrasco will be looking for his first professional victory when he takes on Brisbane’s John Duffy. Duffy is also chasing his first victory as a pro boxer after suffering a loss in his debut after a successful muaythai career.
