Jeffrey Mathebula beat Takalani Ndlovu on a split decision to take over the IBF junior featherweight title in Brakpan. Mathebula won 117-111 and 116-112 on the cards of Neville Hotz and Jaap van Nieuwenhuizen. Alfred Bukwana scored it 115-113 for Ndlovu.

No rematch clause at all.ndlovu is his worst enemy he had all the tools to beat a wild mathebula at times.ndlovu used his jab so well in the first six rounds n for some reason he wanted just to walk to lot fresher mathebula.gaining confidence mathebula used his reach n legs very well toscore.I think ndlovu should retire now he has nothing to prove any more.mathebula very akward fighter,any one will find him hard to fight with
