Your sig is pretty damn funny. They said Broner will probably fight on the Khan-Peterson II card against someone, and than Escobedo in the summer (July-August).

I'd like to see Escobedo fight someone like Martin Rodriguez, Jorge Solis, Eloy Perez, or Ronny Rios. If he were to beat one of those guys, I think it makes Broner-Escobedo a more legit fight, to me at least.

And I'd like to see Broner fight someone like Bryan Vasquez, Will Tomlinson, Roman Martinez, or Argenis Mendez. Broner won't be able to fight someone like Magdaleno or Burgos, they always are on Top Rank cards.

Broner vs. Mendez would be a good fight for May 19th. Mendez arguably beat Salgado, the IBF champ and the #2 ranked SFW in the world.

THanks for clearing up. Interested in who he'll fight this coming May.
I'd like an Uchiyama fight... but I know that it won't be happening.

I think Uchiyama already has a fight planned. And I doubt Uchiyama or Ao, two title holders, will come to America to fight Broner. I guess Japan doesn't even recognize the WBO, Broner's title, and they already make plenty of dough in Japan. And when there's still Celestino Cababllero out there, who will fight anywhere and wants to move up to 130 at some point, they can always fight him. I don't see why Chris John doesn't move up to 130 and fight Uchiyama or Ao, two guys that stay in Asia.

I think neither men are willing to leave their countries... maybe Uchiyama more so than John. And you're right, why leave when you make more money there? I like that Dejan Zavec went to the U.S to fight Berto, IMO could have won if he didn't get headbutted.
I forget which titles the Japanese don't recognize.
But i doubt the fight will happen. Broner probably can't ante up a good price and I don't think he'd go there.

Aren't they trying to make a fight between Mikey Garcia and Celestino?

Yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't happen. Mikey can still fight Rafael Marquez, Orlando Salido, and others as well.

Celestino beat Hosono on the same card as Uchiyama last year, and it was rumored then that Caballero would be interested in going to 130 for a title shot in Japan against Uchiyama. It could happen.

Why doesn't John fight Ao or Uchiyama. Surely, they could fight in a neutral site somewhere in Asia. None of those guys come to America ever, those would be good fights.
