Comments Thread For: Chavez Sr. is Very Impressed With Roman Gonzalez

The legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. is very impressed with WBA junior flyweight champion Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez (30-0, 25KOs). On Saturday night in Chavez's hometown of Culiacan, Gonzalez will take part in a ten round non-title clash against Manuel "Meny" Jimenez, (2-1, 5KOs). Should Gonzalez win, he moves forward to an April 21st defense against former champion Ramon "The Prince" Garcia.

The promoters have messed this up so much its not even funny. Chocolatito wins by KO. Nobody can see him from 105-108.

Manuel Jimenez record is actually 11(5)-2(1)-1

Still a complete bum, and not someone with a 38-0 record should be facing.

He has a fight next month lined up too for the WBA title, with another bum who has a 16-3 record

He should try actually eating his meals without throwing up afterwards and having daily enemas just because you want to KO bums in the lowest weight possible.

Even girls shouldnt weigh less that what you fight at, what a joke.

Gonzalez is the man. We need to see him vs the Seguras and Viloiras of the world ASAP.

He is co-promoted with Teiken Promotions and Zanfer promotions.

Which are not horrible promotional companies but he needs to unify and become the clear cut #1 (in my eyes he is) with all of the belts so he can move and beat the brakes off of segura.

A fight against Segura would be fun but Gonzalez's technique would be too much for Segura. Viloria can give him plenty of problems if he can fight to his full potential. Unfortunately we might never see those fights. There just isn't enough interest in these lower divisions.
