  • Comments Thread For: Kessler Pondering Move To 175, Against Tavoris Cloud?

After weeks of rumors and speculation, Sauerland Event finally canceled the super middleweight clash between WBO champion Robert Stieglitz and Danish superstar Mikkel Kessler, which was set for April 14th at Parken in Copenhagen. The fight was first scheduled for November 5 but Kessler had to withdraw due to a broken finger. The same injury is still causing problems for the Viking Warrior, which forced Monday's withdrawal.

That would be a surprisingly good move.

So I fully expect it to be false.

Cloud can lose again. I never bought Tavoris Cloud as one of the best LHW.

lol.. dude spends all that time badmouthing ward knocking his dominating victory, then once ward is available and willing to fight him he moves up in weight. wouldnt suprise me one bit, i knew he didnt want none.

his chances arent any better at 175 though, fool is gonna get himself killed. cloud can be outboxed but kessler is far too limited to pull that off. he fights in straight lines, has no headmovement and cant adapt to save his life. he wont be able to keep cloud off him and that spells trouble.

I agree, Kessler is not the versatile boxer that Campillo is and will stand and trade with Cloud who if anything does have a **** load of power all while Kessler has an upright kind of boxing stance.

This fight IMO is not bad at all if it comes into reality.

              Make it happen.

Sounds ******. Kessler hasn't got any weightproblems and all the moneyfights are at 168. In other words I dont believe it.

True this would be a good fight. Cloud is someone I really like, but he got his ass beat last fight.

Cloud is all power, nothing more. You need more than power to beat Kessler, you need speed, you need to box him. Kessler's chin is made out of something that is out of this world anyways, like stuff Aliens use to build their space ships. Not something so Earthly as iron or granite. Cloud was losing on the cards against YUSAF MACK, I also thought he fought to a draw with Glen Johnson, and Campillo kicked his ass. You don't have to be a special fighter to beat Cloud. He is not very good and it would be a W for Kessler.
